ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan will host the 14th South Asian Games scheduled to begin from March 23 to 31, 2027.

The fresh dates were finalized at a high-level regional sports committee meeting, ending months of uncertainty.

The new dates for the next year’s South Asian Games were finalized during a meeting of the Asian Olympic Council held in Tashkent.

The decision brings clarity to the long-delayed event, whose schedule had been revised multiple times.

Pakistan will host the 14th edition of the South Asian Games as the multi-sport event will feature athletes from across South Asia competing in a wide range of disciplines.

Officials believe that the date conformation will allow smoother preparations and coordination with participating countries.

President Pakistan Olympic Association, Arif Saeed, attended the meeting in Tashkent while Federal Secretary of the Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, Mohiuddin Wani, was also present on the occasion.

The officials represented Pakistan’s official stance and expressed commitment to hosting the regional sporting event.
