RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): Pakistani Army responded strongly to the unprovoked firing from Afghanistan on the Pak-Afghan border, killing several Afghan soldiers and destroying several Afghan posts.
According to security sources, Afghan forces also fired unprovoked shots at Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baram Chah on the Pak-Afghan border.
Pakistan Army response
The Pakistan Army responded strongly to Afghanistan’s firing, resulting in the death of several Afghan soldiers. Due to heavy losses, the Afghan soldiers deserted several posts and also requested Pakistan to stop the retaliatory action.
The security sources said that the Pakistan Army destroyed the Afghani Shaheedan post in the Bramcha sector, and also destroyed the Afghani Duran Mela and Turkmenzai camps. Afghani posts in the Kharlachi sector were also targeted.
Security sources said that another major success has been achieved against Khawarjis and Afghan forces, and Khurchar Fort has been completely destroyed by effective fire. Khurchar Fort was the center of Fitna al-Khawarij.
