SHARJAH (Kashmir English): Pakistan qualified for the final by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 31 runs in the fifth match of the tri-nation T20 series.

In the match played in Sharjah Cricket Ground, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against the United Arab Emirates.

Batting first, the Pakistan team scored 171 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Nawaz remained unbeaten on 77 and 37 runs respectively.

Sahibzada Farhan scored 16 runs, and Saim Ayub scored 11 runs.

For the United Arab Emirates, Haider Ali took 2 wickets for 17 runs.

While chasing Pakistan’s target of 172 runs, the UAE team could score 140 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Ali Shan and Mohammad Wasim were the top scorers for the UAE with 61 and 19 runs respectively. Abrar Ahmed took four wickets for Pakistan.

Two changes were made to the national team against the UAE. Salman Mirza replaced Haris Rauf, and Sufyan Muqeem was rested in favor of Abrar Ahmed.
