DUMBULLA (Kashmir English): The third and final match of the 3-match T20 series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka (Pak vs SL) will be played today.
The second match of the series was washed out due to rain. Pakistan started the series with a resounding victory. In the first T20 match, opener Sahibzada Farhan scored a half-century, and the combined performance of the bowlers helped Pakistan defeat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.
Chasing a target of 129 runs in this match played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Pakistan achieved victory with 20 balls to spare for the loss of 4 wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub put on a 59-run partnership in the power play, while later a 25-run partnership between captain Salman Ali Agha and Farhan put the team in a stable position.
Finally, the responsible batting of Usman Khan and Shadab Khan brought Pakistan victory. The Pakistani team, led by captain Salman Ali Agha, will try to pave the way for victory by strengthening its batting and bowling line, while the Sri Lankan team is also determined to win today’s match.
