FAISALABAD (Kashmir English): Abrar Ahmed misses his first One-Day Internationals (ODI) hat-trick as South Africa loses nine wickets against Pakistan (Pak vs SA) during the first ODI of the three-match series at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Tuesday.
Batting first after losing the toss, the away side has scored 262 runs in 48.4 overs with one wicket still in hand.
The home side spinner, Abrar Ahmed, took the wickets of Matthew Breetzke and Bjorn Fortuin on the first two balls of the 44th over. Lungi Ngidi, the new batter, walked in to face a hat-trick.
Abrar bowled the hat-trick bowl and straight-forwardly appealed for LBW, surprisingly on-field umpire’s finger went up. However, the review from Ngidi saved him as ultra-edge showed a spike before the ball hit the pads.
