Pahalgam attack: Trump expresses confidence in Pakistan, India’s ability to resolve issues

WASHINGTON DC (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Prime Minister United States of America Donald Trump, has reacted to the rising tension between Pakistan and India after the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIJOK).

Talking to the media, PM Donald Trump expressed confidence that Pakistan and India will resolve the matter on their own.

Trump said that relations between Pakistan and India have always been tense, and both countries will find a solution one way or another, because he knows the leaders of both countries.

However, President Trump avoided answering the question of contacting the leaders of Pakistan and India.

Earlier, US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce condemned the terrorist incident in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir and stressed that the elements involved in the incident should be brought to justice.

US State Department spokesperson Timmy Bruce said in a press briefing that we are praying for those whose loved ones were killed in this incident and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

It should be remembered that after the attack on tourists in the Pahalgam area of ​​occupied Kashmir, India has accused Pakistan without evidence, which has strained relations between the countries for days.

Aftermath of Pahalgam Attack

Both nations, Pakistan and India, have expressed strong reactions after the Pahlgam attack by taking various measures which can deeply negatively affect both countries in coming future.

On India’s side, they have accused Pakistan of supporting cross-border terrorism, due to which they announced to Suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty, which is almost 60 years old.

Other measures taken by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, include closing its mainland border with Pakistan, downgrading diplomatic relations, and revoking all visas for Pakistani citizens

In response, Pakistan has also taken strict measures against the Indian government by announcing that all Indian and military advisors in Pakistan will be expelled immediately, canceled visas for Indian nationals (except Sikh pilgrims), closed the border and airspace to India, and suspended trade with India.
