SAMAHNI (Kashmir English): The operation theater in Amjad Khursheed Shaheed Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Samahni became fully functional on Monday, providing much-needed healthcare facilities to the citizens.
As per details, the operation theater became fully activated after the appointment of an anesthesiologist at the hospital. District Health Officer (DHQ) Dr. Iram Batool and Medical Superintendent Dr. Umair Fazil inaugurated the facility by cutting the ribbon.
Earlier, the Azad Kashmir health department appointed gynecologists, surgeons, childern, and medical specialists.
Talking to the media, DHO Dr. Iram Batool said that due to the government’s emergency measures, the appointment of specialist doctors was implemented.
The operation theater has become fully functional, for which the people of Samahni constituency and the staff of THQ Hospital Samahni deserve congratulations, she said.
Batool further confirmed that Dr. Muzammil Hussain will not be transffered from the THQ hosiptal to Barnala, until newly appointed surgeon arrives. It will ensure that the operation theater here does not become inactive again while steps are underway to obtain more required machinery and equipment, Dr. Batool added.
