BANNU (Kashmir English): In a tragic incident, A policeman was martyred and three others were injured in an attack on a police checkpost in the Fateh Khel area of Bannu district.
The martyr police constable has been identified as Niaz, while the three injured have been identified as Munir, Saudad, and Mufti Mahmood.
According to police sources, heavily armed terrorists launched an assault on the Fateh Khel police post using deadly arsenal.
However, the police retaliated swiftly, killing three militants in exchange for firing.
Later, law enforcement searched the neighborhood to find any surviving assailants or collaborators.
In a media appearance, DIG Bannu stated that the police force is unwavering in the face of such heinous assaults.
“Our men are fighting terrorism and are capable of dealing with the enemy.” We won’t let these attacks discourage us,” he declared.
The wounded police officers were taken to a hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the terrorists who had been killed were taken to a nearby hospital for identification.
As the investigation carries forward, the area is still blocked off.
Earlier, in a brave action, Pakistan’s security forces on Friday killed 11 Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists in the Panjgur area of Balochistan district.
According to the official sources, on the night of 1 August, troops of 91 Wing of FC Balochistan South deployed in the Gwargo area, Panjgur, had an engagement with the Fitna al Hindustan terrorists.
Troops were fully alert on the provision of timely intelligence by intelligence tentacles, the official statement said.
“During the effective engagement, 11 Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists were sent to hell while 2 FC jawans embraced Shahadat while fighting bravely with the terrorists.”
Clearance operation has been launched to wipe out remaining terrorists in the area.
