New School Timings for Ramazan

The changes aim to support students, teachers, and school staff who will be observing fasting during Ramazan. Single-shift schools will operate from 8 30 AM to 1 00 PM on Monday through Thursday, according to the new schedule.

The schools will finish their operations at 12 30 PM on Fridays. The shorter day is designed to reduce fatigue and help students return home safely before the late afternoon.

Double-shift schools will operate their morning session from 8 30 AM to 12 30 PM between Monday and Thursday. The second session will start at 1 00 PM and end at 4 00 PM on the same days.

The Friday timetable will have different start and end times for the evening shift, which will begin at 2 30 PM and end at 5 00 PM. The department also announced special arrangements for girls’ schools.

The institutions will start their day 15 minutes earlier than the normal opening time and end 15 minutes earlier than the standard closing time. The step was taken to provide better convenience and safety for female students who need to travel to school and return home.

The new schedule will stay in effect throughout the entire month of Ramazan, according to officials. The schools will go back to their regular daily operations after the holy month concludes.
