MUZAFFATABAD: In a recent development, the Azad Kashmir government has released a new rate for broiler and breeder chickens.
According to the new notification issued by the Office of Additional District Commissioner (General) Muzaffarabad, the new prices of live chicken, and broilers are Rs. 450 per kilo and the sale price of broiler chicken meat is Rs. 470- per kilogram.
In addition, broiler chicken breeder, life, is priced at Rs. 370 per kilo, Whereas the selling rate of the broiler chicken, breeder meat is Rs. 470 per kilogram.
Pure domestic chicken and golden chicken have been priced at Rs. 1050 per kilogram and Rs. 850 per kilogram, respectively. Prices of eggs per dozen for eggs weighing 40-50 grams have been fixed at Rs. 250- and for those weighing 51-65 grams at Rs. 275.
According to the notification, these rates will come into effect from today February 19, 2025. Shopkeepers will also have to advertise on a hoarding the rate list which they will be required to display in a conspicuous place.
They are not allowed to keep more than two broiler chicken meats for sale at a time. The government has particularly highlighted the significance of keeping shops and markets clean.
