RIYADH (Kashmir English): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has formally initiated mobile registration drive for the overseas community in Saudi Arabia, according to media reports.

This registration service is scheduled for July 25 and 26,2025, in Dammam from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, in association with the Pakistan Embassy.

This service is provided to facilitate Pakistani citizens residing in this Gulf country, who wish to get new identity documents or update and renew their current National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

The Tamimi New Camp in Dhahran, Eastern Province, will be the location of the NADRA mobile registration team. The official websites of NADRA are used to provide location information.

The Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia has widely praised NADRA’s initiative, viewing it as a timely and easily accessible solution.

After establishing a permanent service desk at the Pakistan Embassy in Riyadh earlier in 2024, this is NADRA’s third significant project in Saudi Arabia in recent months.

The authority reaffirms its commitment to serving Pakistani citizens in Saudi Arabia by providing them with convenient access to crucial identity services within the kingdom without requiring them to return to Pakistan, thanks to the assistance of the NADRA mobile registration team.

Earlier,t he National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has imposed New CNIC, FRC, and B-Form rules for 2025 on the directives of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

As per details, NADRA has introduced a revision that women can register their father’s or husband’s name on their identity card of their choice, and the decision on cases of seizure, cancellation, and restoration of the identity card will be made within 30 days.

Additionally, a new chipless identity card has been introduced, offering smart card features such as bilingual data (Urdu and English) and a QR code for verification, at a lower cost and with faster delivery.

On the instructions of the Interior Minister, NADRA implemented amendments to the National Identity Card Rules 2002.

According to the revised amendments, a mandatory birth registration is required for B-form registration in Pakistan at the local Union Council level. This step has been implemented to eradicate deceitful entries and strengthen child protection mechanisms.
