NAB Chairman approves plea bargain of main accused in Kohistan corruption case

PESHAWAR (Kashmir English): Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau ( NAB)  has approved the plea bargain of the main accused in the Kohistan corruption case.

The main accused, Mumtaz, who is in NAB custody, had requested a plea bargain to return the looted Rs 4.5 billion. Chairman NAB has accepted the plea bargain request of the accused Mumtaz.

Mumtaz is the frontman of the C&W worker Qaiser Iqbal. After the plea bargain of the accused is approved by the accountability court, the looted money will be returned.

C&W had released Rs 38 billion to benamidars and contractors in the Kohistan financial scandal.
