MUZAFFARABAD/BAGH (Kashmir English): The Muzaffarabad-Abbottabad Road was closed at Lohar Gali, while the Srinagar Highway (Muzaffarabad-Chakothi) was also closed at Sabri due to heavy rains in the state capital Muzaffarabad on Friday.
According to details, on Friday evening, heavy rain fell in several areas of Azad Kashmir including Muzaffarabad and Bagh, due to which two main highways in Muzaffarabad (Muzaffarabad to Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad to Chakothi) were closed due to landslides.
Heavy rain in Bagh
Nullah Mahl was also in spate after heavy rain in Bagh. According to the spokesperson for the district administration, due to severe weather conditions, restoration of roads is not possible at night. “Restoration work will be possible in the morning. All passengers are requested not to travel on this road.”
On the other hand, heavy rain occurred in the vicinity of Bagh, causing Nullah Mahl to overflow once again. A large flood torrent is passing through Bagh city, on which the administration has advised people to be cautious.
