LAHORE (Kashmir English): Motorway M-4 from Khanewal to Multan and M-5 from Multan to Rohri have been closed due to fog.
Motorway Police Spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed told the public that the purpose of the closure of Motorways M-4 and M-5 is to protect the lives and property of passengers, and lane violations in fog can cause dangerous accidents.
Motorway Police directed that road users should strictly follow lane discipline, and citizens should prefer to travel during daylight hours, as the safest travel times during fog are from 10 am to 6 pm.
Drivers should use fog lights, avoid unnecessary travel, do not speed, and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. As an additional facility for the public, guidance and assistance are being provided on the helpline 130.
The Motorway Police urged passengers to follow the instructions and ensure their safety so that accidents can be avoided during foggy weather. The spokesperson also assured constant monitoring and emergency measures in this regard.
