MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Maternal Newborn and Child Healthcare (MNCH) employees have announced a long march towards the AJK Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, April 29, at 9 am.

As per details, the march will be participated in by their family members, political leaders, and social leaders.

At least 237 employees of MNCH, who were dismissed from their jobs under a government notification, have been protesting outside the Press House for the past month.

The employees, mostly aged between 40 and 50, have served the organization for 10 to 20 years.

Due to these cruel measures of the government, these employees marched towards the assembly today, where they were tortured by the police at the Domail Bridge, and the condition of two is critical.

After that, representatives from the government assured the employees that a notification for their reinstatement and payment of salaries would be issued within an hour.

However, despite the passage of time, no notification has been issued, and salaries remain unpaid.

The employees are demanding their reinstatement and payment of salaries, and the long march is seen as a significant escalation of their protest.
