MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Mirpur administration has decided to send back Afghan refugees through various transit points in a very peaceful environment and with dignity and respect.
According to the details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mirpur Yasir Riaz regarding the implementation of the evacuation of Afghan refugees residing throughout the district as per the instructions of the Government of Pakistan.
The meeting was attended by SSP Khawar Ali Shaukat, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Raja Umar Tariq Khan and officers of security agencies.
In the meeting, it was decided by the Government of Pakistan regarding the evacuation of Afghan refugees that Afghan residents residing throughout the district will be sent back through various transit points in a very peaceful environment and with dignity, and no Afghan resident will be mistreated.
Deputy Commissioner Yasir Riaz also appealed to the people of the district to cooperate with the administration and security agencies, including the police, in the evacuation of Afghan residents so that the government orders can be implemented strictly.
