NEELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Minister for local government, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, inspected the Flying Kel chairlift. The chairlift is situated in the Neelum Valley, within the region of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan.
Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Mian Abdul Waheed Advocate was also present on this occasion.
Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, received a detailed briefing on the technical and other aspects of the chairlift from Assistant Director Local Government, Chaudhry Nazir, the lift’s technician.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mian Abdul Waheed Advocate drew the attention of Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Faisal Mumtaz Rathore to the importance and utility of the Kel chairlift and the interest of the civilian population and tourists in the Flying Kel.
The Minister for Local Government, while describing the arrangements for the Kel chairlift as satisfactory, instructed the department to make further improvements.
The chair lift serves as a primary mode of transport to the village of Arang Kel, a popular destination known for its beauty, meadows, and traditional houses.
