MDCAT 2025: Key information for students to know

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has decided to hold the Medical and Dental College Admission Test MDCAT 2025 for admission to dental and medical colleges based on the domicile of the candidate.

The students, as per the reports, will be able to sit only in the province where they belong and will not be permitted to sit in another province.

In the wake of the MDCAT decision, numerous colleges and universities in the country have been tasked with administering the test, such as IBA Sukkur, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta, and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.

There will also be a test center in Islamabad for Sindh and Balochistan candidates, so that they might be facilitated.

Punjab and KP students will attempt the exam in their home provinces, whereas Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the four provinces’ candidates can attempt the exam at Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad.

Seats for these candidates will be assigned based on their respective quotas.

The PMDC has informed that for medical and dental college admission, it is a requirement for candidates to possess the domicile of the corresponding province.

Special seats have also been reserved for students from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir in medical and dental colleges.
