MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Auditor General of Pakistan, Maqbool Ahmed Gondal, took oath as Auditor General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan administered the oath to him. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary Finance Islam Zeb, Secretary Forests Ansar Yaqoob, Secretary Sports Tehzeeb-ul-Nisa, Secretary Local Government Chaudhry Imtiaz, Secretary Industries Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Secretary Environment, Wildlife and Fisheries Aamir Mehmood Mirza, Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Qazi Inayat, Accountant General Hassan Masood, Director General Audit Saeed Ullah Niazi, Additional Accountant General Mir Asghar, Deputy Director Audit Bashir Ahmed Mirza, Audit Officer Atif Khan and other officers and staff of the Audit Office.
The ceremony was conducted by Registrar Supreme Court Mazhar Iqbal, while Draftsman Department of Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights Zahid Rajput read out the notification of the appointment of the Auditor General.
After this, Chief Justice of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan administered the oath to Auditor General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Maqbool Ahmed Gondal.
