RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Heavy rain in Rawalakot and surrounding areas has caused a landslide at Tain Dhalkot, closing the Bagh Rawalpindi road for traffic, the Highway Department Rawalakot said.
Due to the landslide, the route to Bagh and Rawalpindi has been closed, and travelers are advised to use the Azad Pattan route from Rawalakot to Rawalpindi.
The Highway Department has advised motorists to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid disruptions. The department has said that heavy machinery has been sent to clear the road.
District Administration has urged residents living near storm drains to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
