MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Central Chairperson of the Muslim Conference Women’s Wing/Kashmir Women Alert Forum (KWAF), Samia Sajid has expressed concern over India’s installing IEDs inside Azad Jammu and Kashmir and acts of sabotage, reaffirming the resolve that the people of AJK would resist India’s sabotage efforts.

She also expressed concern over the situation in the occupied Kashmir, particularly the actions of Indian forces in closing the central Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and other mosques for worship during the sacred occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

“Despite using all its power, India has been unable to suppress the movement. Under such circumstances, the AJK people and political parties, especially the Muslim Conference, have a heavy responsibility.”

The people here have remained committed to the freedom movement, and the Muslim Conference is a significant front in this struggle for freedom, she said.

India is facing humiliation in Kashmir and globally. The false claims of India’s secularism and democracy have exposed, making it disgraceful on the world stage.

Resolution of Kashmir issue

Now, the United Nations and global institutions must develop a clear plan of action for the resolution of the Kashmir issue and implement it, she demanded.

She was of the view that the tensions in South Asia have severely threatened peace. “The people of Azad Kashmir have a dual responsibility; to play a role in preserving the identity of the state and to strengthen their ideological ties with Pakistan.”

Workers are the beacon of hope for the people of Azad Kashmir and must dedicate themselves to solving public issues, she added.

Those workers who stand firm during difficult times are invaluable assets to the party. The Muslim Conference is actively struggling for the freedom movement and the completion of Pakistan.

Samia Sajid further stated that the eight hundred thousand occupying forces, black laws, lockdowns, curfews, arbitrary arrests, crackdowns, and assaults on women have not been able to demoralize the people of Kashmir.

India’s plans to alter the demographics of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by granting domicile to forty lakh non-state individuals, in an attempt to nullify the United Nations resolutions, are failing.

She further said that the Kashmiris have been struggling against India’s forced occupation for more than sixty years.
