Kotli localities fumigated to combat dengue

KOTLI (Kashmir English): The Kotli administration has intensified its anti-dengue campaign, conducting fogging operations at various locations in the past 24 hours to control the spread of the virus.

On the instructions of the Director General of Public Health and Director Health Services Muzaffarabad, and under the supervision of Additional District Health Officer Dr. Mazhar Iqbal Tahir, fogging spray was carried out in various areas of the city to combat dengue.

This spray was done in the morning and evening to control the spread of mosquitoes.

So far, 13 dengue-affected patients have been reported in Kotli. The Health Department has said that public cooperation and adherence to preventive measures are essential to defeat the dengue virus.

The administration has appealed to public to keep their surroundings clean, not to allow water to accumulate near their homes, and to protect themselves from mosquito bites so that they can be safe from dengue and malaria.

The Department of Public Health (Communicable Diseases) is taking measures within its limited resources, so citizens should strictly follow the instructions issued by the concerned department to prevent the spread of the dengue virus.
