KARACHI (Kashmir English): Leaders of various national and Kashmir-based political parties have said that Pakistan has highlighted the Kashmir issue globally through effective diplomacy adding that the international community should play its part in stopping India’s atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan. The Pakistan Armed Forces defeated India in the recent war and humbled Modi’s pride. We salute Field Marshal Asim Munir and the Pakistan Armed Forces.”
The struggle and mission of the Kashmiri leader Shaheed Burhan Muzaffar Wani for the freedom of Kashmir will continue, they vowed.
They said that in memory of Shaheed Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani and to express solidarity with the Pakistan Armed Forces, a Bunyan-um-Marsoos rally will be held today (Tuesday) in Karachi. The rally will start from Arts Council and culminate at the Press Club.
Kashmir will become Pakistan
All parties and the public will participate in this rally. The message of the rally is that Kashmir will become Pakistan.
These views were expressed by the speakers at the Haseena Moin Hall, Arts Council, during a seminar titled “The Death of a Martyr is the Life of a Nation,” organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir on the ninth death anniversary of the martyred Kashmiri leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
The seminar was addressed by Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference; Saeed Ghani, President of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Karachi and Sindh Minister for Local Government; Syed Pervez Shah Advocate, Secretary General; and Sardar Umme Kulsoom, a female Kashmiri leader, among others.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir, said that an impression was created that Pakistan had backed down on the Kashmir issue, but, he added, this was merely an Indian propaganda.
“Pakistan has proved by defeating India in the recent war that the resolution of the Kashmir issue is Pakistan’s top priority. The Government of Pakistan is running an effective diplomatic campaign for the Kashmir issue at the international level. We thank them for this.” He said a Bunyan-um-Marsoos rally will be held in Karachi on Tuesday.
Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani said that the Pakistan Peoples’ Party supports the struggle of the people of Occupied Kashmir.
“It is necessary to spread the message of Burhan Wani. India is committing atrocities against the Kashmiri people, which we condemn.”
He said all parties are united on the Kashmir issue. The foundation of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party was the Kashmir issue, he said and added that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto said that he cannot make a mistake on the Kashmir issue even in his dreams. “If we have to fight for a thousand years on Kashmir, we will fight,” he quoted Bhutto as having said.
Syed Pervez Shah Advocate, Secretary General of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, said that the Hurriyat Conference is a symbol of the peaceful struggle of Kashmiris.
“It is the representative party of the Kashmiri people. The All Parties Hurriyat Conference demands that the Kashmir issue be resolved peacefully.”
He said Burhan Wani was not a terrorist but a mujahid of the Kashmir freedom movement.
“The ongoing movement for Kashmir’s freedom is not a war. This movement is a struggle of peaceful Kashmiri people. India is trying to eliminate Burhan Wani’s role, but he is a hero in the hearts of the Kashmiri people.”
MQM Pakistan Sindh Assembly member Tahir Ahmed Khan said that MQM Pakistan supports the Bunyan-um-Marsoos rally. Burhan Wani is the name of a struggle, he added.
Female Kashmiri leader Umme Kulsoom said that Burhan Wani has infused new life into the Kashmir freedom movement. “Women are playing a leading role in the freedom of Kashmir.” She announced her support for the rally.
