MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has revised working hours of the government office timings for the upcoming month of Ramadan, which will start on March 2, 2025.
AJK government’s Services and General Administration Department has issued notification in this regard on Friday.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee today announced that the Ramadan moon was not sighted in Pakistan, and the first fast would fall on Sunday (March 2). The committee, headed by its chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, met in Peshawar to sight the Ramadan moon.
“The President Azad Jammu & Kashmir has been pleased to accord approval for observance of the following timings during the forthcoming Holy Month of “Ramazan” in the offices of the Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir,” the notification read.
As per details, the offices working on five days a week will run from 9:30 am to 03:30 pm on Monday to Thursday, while the working time will be from 9:30 am to 01:00 pm on Friday.
For the offices working on six days a week, the working hours have been fixed from 9:30 am to 02:30 pm on the first four days of the week — Monday to Thursday — and Saturday. These government offices will remain operational from 9:30 am to 01:00 pm on Friday during Ramadan.
