JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): Jhelum Valley Police have finalised a comprehensive security plan ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, with police to remain on high alert.
As per the instructions of SP Mirza Zahid Hussain, a security plan was prepared to deal with any emergency during the festive and mosque security was put on high alert.
As per details, the police have started checking people entering the district from every entry point. Police personnel dressed in civilian clothes will also be on duty in the main markets along with uniformed personnel.
According to the Jhelum Valley Police spokesperson, checkpoints have been set up at different places, and police personnel have been deployed.
Police patrols are being carried out at various places in Leepa Valley, Chakar Chinari Hattian Bala, on the main highways, and mosques and madrasas.
Police personnel and officers have been assigned different duties during the Eid holidays to maintain law and order in the district, police spokesperson said.
