ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory regarding the Tri-Nations Cricket Series starting from November 18 and continuing till November 29 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

As a result, law enforcers said, the movement of cricket teams from Islamabad to the stadium and vice versa will impact the routine flow of traffic on match days. Over 300 Islamabad Traffic Police personnel will be deputed during the series.

Officials warned that the movement of teams may slow traffic on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, especially during peak hours. Commuters have been advised to leave with an extra 15 to 20 minutes of travel time.

The traffic police said it will make every effort to ensure motorists face minimal inconvenience. Real-time traffic updates will be provided through the Islamabad Police’s official social media pages and FM 92.4.

The authorities have requested the residents to cooperate with the officers and maintain patience during team movement and match timings. Citizens can also report any emergency by dialing the Police Helpline 15 or the Traffic Helpline at 1915.
