The Israeli Defense Minister has announced that Israel has launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran. The Israeli Defense Minister has declared a state of emergency in the country and said that Iran is expecting retaliation.

An Israeli military official said that Israel has targeted Iran’s nuclear and military targets.

Earlier, United States President Donald Trump had warned that there is a “chance of massive conflict” in the Middle East, confirming that an Israeli attack on Iran is “possible”.

Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump said he would “love to avoid the conflict” and suggested that the US would like Israel to hold off on plans to strike Iran’s nuclear sites while Washington and Tehran continue their negotiations.

Additionally, US media also claimed in a report that Israel could attack Iran at any time and that Israel had also informed the US in advance of the attack on Iran.

The US says that the US has no role in the attack on Iran, and Donald Trump would like these tensions to resolve as the US wants to make a deal with Iran.
