RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): ISPR has released a new song: “Kashmir Hamaray Khwabon Ki Tabeer” in connection with Jammu Martyrs’ Day being commemorated on Thursday.

According to reports, the song is a tribute to the sacrifices, determination and eternal loyalty of the people of Kashmir to Pakistan.

The song pays homage to the martyrdom and stories of loyalty of innocent Kashmiris.

Jammu Martyrs’ Day

Jammu Martyrs’ Day is observed annually on November 6 to commemorate the massacre of hundreds of thousands of Muslims in the Jammu region during the first week of November 1947, the year when Pakistan came into being.

In November 1947, during the partition of British India, large numbers of Muslims in the Jammu region were killed by forces of the Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, the Indian Army, and Hindu extremists (RSS-backed fanatics) while they were migrating to Pakistan.

Reports indicate that over 70,000 people were massacred in an event described by some as a case of ethnic cleansing aimed at altering the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir.
