HAVELI KAHUTA, Azad Kashmir (Kashmir English): Islamic Relief Pakistan, Haveli, distributed bikes among unemployed and deserving individuals for bike service.
A program was organized under the auspices of the Islamic Relief Pakistan, Haveli, where motorcycles were handed over to the unemployed. The purpose of this program was to provide employment opportunities to deserving individuals so that they could better support their families.
On this occasion, civil society highly appreciated Islamic Relief Pakistan’s efforts and expressed hope that such initiatives would help the poor and needy become economically stable.
At the end of the program, representatives from the journalist community, political and social figures, and civil society acknowledged the organization’s services, stating that Islamic Relief Pakistan is serving the public through welfare work in the area.
The people of Haveli Kahuta also expressed hope that the Islamic Relief would continue to take further practical steps in the future to improve the area and assist deserving individuals.
Separately, the Sindh government has also decided to distribute free pink electric scooters to women in the coming weeks.
The officials have termed the decision a revolutionary step toward women’s empowerment.
Senior Provincial Minister for Information and Transport, Sharjeel Inam Memon while sharing details of the project, stated that the initiative is part of a mission to provide women with safe, protected, and environmentally-friendly transport.
Under the program, selected women will receive modern electric scooters designed to save energy and reduce environmental pollution.
The government will also provide formal driving training and road safety awareness sessions for all recipients to ensure users safety.
The “Pink Electric Scooter Program” will play a vital role in empowering women by providing them with ease of transportation.
Criteria for electric bikes distribution
The distribution of EV scooties will be carried out through a transparent balloting.
A committee will be constituted comprising members from the Excise, Transport, Finance departments, and media personnel to ensure transparency of the balloting.
