Islamabad weather: Federal capital receives season’s first winter rain

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan received its first winter rain on Saturday night, including the federal capital, Islamabad.

The Islamabad weather is anticipated to stay cold and partly cloudy, with the possibility of rain and strong gusts.

The twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the plains and urban areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, including Talagang, had light rainfall.

Rain also poured in different cities of Balochistan, including Quetta, and in Ziarat, where the cold became more intense. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted rain and snowfall in major areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan for the next two days.

On Sunday, rain is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Peshawar, Charsadda, and Nowshera.
