ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moqadam, has said that the Islamabad talks are not a one-time event but part of an ongoing diplomatic process.

In a message shared on X, the envoy stated that the talks have laid the foundation for a sustained dialogue, adding that stronger mutual trust and determination could help build a long-term framework benefiting all parties.

He expressed gratitude to Pakistan, particularly Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Asim Munir, for facilitating the discussions in a spirit of goodwill.

The ambassador also appreciated the efforts of various Pakistani institutions, including the government, security forces, and law enforcement agencies, for ensuring a peaceful and well-organized environment for the talks.

According to Moqadam, both sides were provided equal facilities, and the negotiations were conducted in a secure and dignified atmosphere.

He added that Iran’s delegation engaged in the talks with confidence and a focus on protecting national interests while addressing the concerns of its people.

Al Jazeera resorts to fake reporting on Pakistani oil tankers

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera seems to be indulging in an anti-Pakistan campaign through fake reporting, saying that two Pakistani oil tankers headed to the Strait of Hormuz have turned back, suggesting they could not make the passage.

The media outlet quoted a news agency as saying that two oil tankers sailing under Pakistani flags have turned around at the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting they could not make the passage.

The news agency named the tankers as Khairpur and Shalamar.

Sources, however, confirmed that both ships, Khairpur and Shalamar, have crossed the Strait of Hormuz and are in the Persian Gulf.

They will be reaching their destination, i.e., Kuwait, early morning tomorrow (Monday), they added.
