NEW YORK (Kashmir English): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is witnessing clear signs of economic improvement and rebuilding strong ties with the international community.
Speaking to the Pakistani community at the Consulate General in New York on Saturday, Dar said, “We have made considerable progress, especially in political and economic fields, in the past three years, despite heavy odds – we are indeed a resilient nation.”
“Inflation has come down, and Pakistan’s economic indicators are moving in the right direction,” said Ishaq Dar. “We are no longer in isolation. Our global relationships are strengthening once again.”
Dar also shared details of his recent meeting in Washington with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He described the meeting as warm and productive, with discussions focusing on regional issues and global cooperation. The meeting is being seen as a major step toward improving Pakistan-U.S. relations.
The event was attended by key officials, including Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, and the Consul General. Their presence underlined the importance of the message Ishaq Dar delivered.
Dar told the audience that Pakistan’s foreign policy is now centered on mutual respect, peaceful cooperation, and economic diplomacy. He emphasized that engaging with the world is vital for attracting investment, promoting trade, and improving Pakistan’s global image.
The Pakistani diaspora in New York welcomed Ishaq Dar’s message and praised the government’s efforts to turn the economy around. Many attendees expressed optimism that the country was finally moving toward stability.
With inflation dropping and international dialogue increasing, Ishaq Dar remains confident that Pakistan is on the path to long-term recovery and growth.
