TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appeared in public for the first time since the recent tensions and limited war between Iran and Israel.
He participated in an important mourning ceremony on the night of Ashura in Tehran, where he was warmly welcomed.
According to Iranian state media, Ayatollah Khamenei attended the ceremony held in connection with Ashura, which took place at a central location in Tehran.
Thousands of mourners present at the ceremony chanted slogans in his favour and expressed full confidence in his leadership.
During the ceremony, Ayatollah Khamenei was brought in under tight security and remained there until the end of the ceremony.
The development comes at a time when severe tensions have been observed between Iran and Israel in recent weeks.
Israel allegedly carried out airstrikes in various areas of Syria and Iran, to which Iran also retaliated.
During this time, there were reports that Ayatollah Khamenei had been moved to an unknown location due to security reasons, which led to speculation about his health and the continuity of his leadership.
However, his strong presence and public interaction at the Ashura night ceremony have proven all rumors false.
“Iran’s top leadership is active”
According to analysts, his presence not only sends a message of confidence to the people within the country but also demonstrates internationally that Iran’s top leadership is active and stable despite all pressures.
Ayatollah Khamenei’s participation in the ceremony is considered important both politically and religiously, as Ashura is considered a very important occasion in Iran, and his presence on this occasion is a symbol of the continuity of leadership.
