TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Friday confirmed that several countries have begun mediation efforts to end the ongoing war imposed against Iran by the United States and Israel.

“Some countries have begun mediation efforts,” the Iranian President wrote on X, adding that our response to them is clear.

Pezeshkian stressed that we are committed to lasting peace in the region, yet we have no hesitation in defending our nation’s dignity & sovereignty.

He stressed that these efforts must target the true aggressors, the US and Israel, who launched this unprovoked aggression.

“Mediation should address those who underestimated the Iranian people and ignited this conflict,” the President stated.

‘No deal with Iran except unconditional surrender’

Later, US President Donald Trump asserted that there would be no deal with Iran except “unconditional surrender”.

In a post on his Truth social account, Trump promised to help rebuild the country’s economy if Tehran complied and installed new leadership.

“After that, and the selection of a great and acceptable leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” he wrote.

He added, “Iran will have a great future. Make Iran Great Again (MIGA!).”
