LAHORE (Kashmir English): The Indian Premier League (IPL), most expensive league, has failed to secure the top position in the latest rankings released by the World Cricketers’ Association.
According to the global players’ body, the IPL, despite being the largest league in financial terms, still has room for improvement in overall quality.
The report particularly emphasizes the need to further strengthen the player rights and welfare system. England’s The Hundred ranked first in the ranking, scoring 75.2 points.
South Africa’s SAT Twenty20 League came in second, with 68 points. The IPL ranked third with 62.6 points, while Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) came in fourth with a slight margin.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) is in fifth position with 48 points, which places it among the world’s leading leagues.
MLC is in sixth place, ILT T20 is in seventh place, CPL is in eighth place, Abu Dhabi T10 is in ninth place and BPL is in tenth place.
