RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): A woman from Hill Sarang, a suburban area of Dhirkot Tehsil, Bagh District, Azad Kashmir, who was on her way to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) to care for her mother, was murdered in Rawalpindi over a minor argument.
According to details, the wife of Mufti Musarrat, a central leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and former candidate for the Punjab Assembly, residing in Hill Sarang, Dhirkot area, was murdered within the limits of Waris Khan Police Station.
According to sources, the killer had blocked the road while intoxicated, and Mufti Musarrat’s wife was going with her brother to Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) to care for her mother.
Upon demanding the road to be opened, the brutal killer shot the woman, who died on the spot, and the accused managed to escape.
After the incident, severe fear and panic spread in the area, and citizens expressed strong grief and anger.
According to sources, a jurisdictional dispute between Airport Police Station and Waris Khan Police Station has also emerged after the incident.
According to police sources, the accused has been arrested, but the stance of the victim’s family has not yet come.
