MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): As part of Pakistan‘s Independence Day celebrations, the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir arranged an inter-university speech competition based on the theme “Azadi Pakistan“ at a local five-star hotel in Muzaffarabad.
The program assembled students from different universities of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, who exhibited their oratory skills and love for the country. Under the English-language category, students gave effective speeches on the subject “Struggle for Truth and Independent Pakistan.”
The competition drew a large crowd, comprising university students, teachers, and leading intellectuals of the region. The speeches emphasized the sacrifices during the freedom movement, the need for truth in nation-building, and the duties of young people in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty.
Organizers maintained that the event was aimed at spreading national pride amongst the students, refining their communication skills, and promoting critical thinking on the challenges and opportunities in Pakistan.
The winners were given certificates and prizes, while appreciation was given to all the participants for their role in the Independence Day celebrations.
