HAVELI (Kashmir English): A fatal Haveli road accident at Bhurtan Ziarat Mor killed five people, prompting the Deputy Commissioner to form an inquiry committee to investigate the tragic accident.
The sad road accident at Bhurtan Ziarat Mor in Haveli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), has claimed the lives of five individuals. To prevent future disasters the Deputy Commissioner of Haveli established a three-member inquiry committee to study the plane crash causes for educational purposes.
According to an official order issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the committee includes the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Haveli, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, and the District Traffic Inspector (DTI). They have been given four days to submit a detailed report outlining the reasons behind the accident.
One of the key aspects of the investigation will be to determine why the vehicle was allowed to leave the station despite a press release warning about road closures. The committee will investigate who authorised the vehicle’s departure, also if any negligence played a role in the accident.
In addition, the committee will offer suggestions on how to prevent similar incidents in the future, with a particular focus on improving road safety and ensuring stricter enforcement of travel advisories.
This heartbreaking loss of life has deeply shaken the local community, bringing renewed attention to the urgent need for better road safety and stronger precautionary measures. Authorities are expected to take meaningful action once the inquiry’s findings are available.
Further details are expected to come to light after the committee presents its report.
