NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): Fancode, Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s exclusive digital streaming partner in India has suspended PSL broadcast after Pahalgam incident.

Indian media reported on Thursday that the Indian sports streaming platform abruptly suspended its live broadcasts of the HBL PSL following the attack on tourists in Pahalgam, a town in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The decision comes amid simmering tensions between the two neighbouring countries India and Pakistan, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announcing it would not play any bilateral cricket series with Pakistan, citing the Pahalgam incident as the reason.

Fancode broadcast 13 matches of the ongoing 10th PSL edition before terminating the coverage.

PSL-related content also removed

Fancode has also removed from its website and apps all PSL-related content, including highlights and match videos.

According to sources, the decision was taken following Pahalgam incident, where Indian authorities claimed 26 tourists were killed in what has been described as a “terrorist attack.”

The attack has sparked political fallout, with India and Pakistan taking several diplomatic and economic steps against each other.
