COLOMBO (Kashmir English): In the sixth match of the ICC Women’s World Cup, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field against India.

According to the details, during the toss at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the Indian captain showed stubbornness and did not shake the traditional handshake with the Pakistani captain.

The captain of the national women’s team said that they performed well in the qualifiers and will perform better today as well.

It should be remembered that the Sri Lankan Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rain in Colombo throughout the day today.

Earlier, the Pakistan women’s cricket team’s training session was scheduled for Saturday to prepare for the match, but it was canceled due to rain.

However, to prepare for the match, the Pakistan women’s cricket team did an indoor session, and the players practiced batting and bowling on indoor nets.

Under the supervision of head coach Muhammad Wasim and other coaches, the women’s cricketers also participated in physical training.

The match between the Pakistan and India teams today is also likely to be affected by rain.

There is a forecast of rain before the start of the match, which will continue intermittently.

If we look at the records of both teams in one cricket format, Pakistan and India have faced each other 11 times in this format, with India emerging victorious in all encounters.

It is worth mentioning that in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, Pakistan lost their opening match against Bangladesh, while India secured a win against Sri Lanka.
