India failed to shoot down any Pakistani aircraft during Marka-e-Haq: DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Director General (DG) Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR)Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that India could not shoot down any Pakistani aircraft in the war of attrition.

In an interview with the foreign magazine Bloomberg, the DG ISPR stated that Pakistan has never tried to hide statistics or facts, our military development strategy has always been to include effective and efficient platforms and internal Pakistani technology.

He said that we are ready to acquire all kinds of technology, whether it is self-made or eastern and western. Pakistan is not involved in an arms race with India.

Bloomberg said in its report that in the war of attrition, Pakistan’s Chinese-made J-10C shot down several Indian Air Force aircraft, including Rafale.

DG ISPR confirmed the effective performance of Pakistani weapons, including Chinese platforms, in the fight against terrorism.

According to Bloomberg, in August, Pakistan announced the addition of the Z-10ME attack helicopter to its arsenal. Pakistan also uses American-made F-16 aircraft along with Chinese weapons.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump confirmed that 7 Indian aircraft were shot down during the operation Bunyan Marsoos.
