WASHINGTON DC (Kashmir English): The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again mocked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his weak governance.
In a recent press talk, Donald Trump highlighted that India ordered 68 Apache helicopters from America and did not get them even after waiting for five years.
While addressing the audience, President Donald Trump added that India PM Modi personally requested Trump to provide military assistance, stating that PM Modi personally came to see me ” Sir, may I see you” to which Trump added ‘Yes, you may.
“India ordered Apache helicopters and didn’t get them for 5 years. PM Modi came to me and said ‘Sir can I please see you?’ and I said yes,” claims U.S. President Donald Trump

As India is facing global isolation, Trump is continuously pressuring Modi. This development comes after India is pursuing to buy oil from Russia instead of America, raising tensions between the two countries.
Earlier, Trump warned India that he may jack up tariffs on India if PM Modi does not comply with Washington’s demand to cut purchases of Russian oil, turning the screws on the South Asian country as trade talks remain unfinished.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a good guy. He knew I was not happy, and it was important to make me happy,” Trump told the reporters.
In response to a question on India’s Russian oil purchases, Trump warned India, stating, “They do trade, and we can raise tariffs on them very quickly.” India’s commerce ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Trump’s comments follow months of trade negotiations after the U.S. doubled import tariffs on Indian goods to 50% last year as punishment for its heavy buying of Russian oil.
