ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): India continues to trample international norms with impunity in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, India has become a habitual violator of international laws and human rights conventions, and its illegal abrogation of Kashmir’s special status is a direct assault on international law.
Kashmiris stripped of basic human rights
The Modi regime has stripped Kashmiris of their most basic human rights, and the draconian laws like Public Safety Act (PSA) and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) are being used to jail innocent Kashmiris without trial.
India has denied Kashmiris their United Nations-mandated right to self-determination for decades and the Modi’s fascist govt is engineering demographic change in IIOJK in violation of UN resolutions.
The world must remind India that Kashmir is an international dispute — not a domestic matter and there must be a global accountability for India’s continued breach of international agreements.
The UN has a moral, legal and historical obligation to ensure Kashmiris’ right to freedom and silence of the world powers is enabling grave and systematic human rights abuses in the occupied territory.
Ignoring Indian atrocities will only prolong injustice and fuel instability in the South Asian region.
