ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan was brought to PIMS on Monday for a follow-up eye treatment.
According to the PIMS ED, Imran Khan (74) was brought to PIMS for follow up eye-treatment i.e. second dose of anti VEGF intra vitreal injection on 24 February, 2026.
“Prior to the procedure he was examined by a board of specialists: Consultant Cardiologist who also performed Echocardiography and ECG (Results: NORMAL) and Consultant Physician.”
Imran Khan found to be clinically stable
A press statement by the PIMS administration said that Imran Khan was found to be clinically stable. “After obtaining informed consent, and under standard monitoring, precautionary measures and protocols in the operation theatre, he was injected with second dose of intravitreal injection of Anti VEGF under guidance of microscopy by Consultant Ophthalmologist, and Consultant Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon of PIMS and Al Shifa Eye Hospital. The procedure was performed as a day care surgery.”
The press release further said that during the course of his stay, Imran Khan remained vitally stable before, during and after the procedure, and was discharged along with instructions for care, follow up advice, and the documents.
