HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): The district administration implemented the Hatian Bala traffic plan during Ramadan’s final days to control market congestion and improve traffic flow, ensuring public convenience and security.
The district administration of Jhelum Valley Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) acted at the direction of Deputy Commissioner Syed Ashfaq Gilani to establish traffic management measures because of rising congestion and public traffic pressure in the marketplace during the final days of Ramadan.
A team comprising Chairman Municipality Sujawal Khan, Assistant Commissioner Kamran Khan, SHO Naveed-ul-Hassan, Chief Officer Nadeem Ahmed Chaudhry, Magistrate Municipality Raja Shiraz, and Naib Tehsildar Ayaz Chughtai, along with police personnel and municipal staff, visited key markets, main roads, and commercial centres to oversee the situation. Organizational measures were established to handle crowds and help people navigate through the heavy flow of people.
Markets reached an unprecedented level of crowding during Ramadan’s last ten days which brought serious delays to traffic and hindered movement throughout the area. The administration quickly cleared roads of unnecessary obstructions and then executed crackdowns on illegal market encroachment while establishing police with municipal staff for traffic management. The marketplace received pedestrian assistance through official officers who provided shoppers with convenient shopping conditions.
The implemented traffic management systems protected the market’s operational efficiency during the extensive crowd surge in Hattian Bala. The citizenry, together with shoppers recognized that the new strategies yielded better results than the past chaotic conditions with major traffic congestion. People accepted the new measures positively since they needed this type of change.
Better traffic management from the district administration pleased both civil society members and traders because it led to steady operation of businesses and improved shopping convenience for customers. Many members of the public wished for disciplined management to create a permanent system which would benefit their daily lives by reducing residential troubles.
Assistant Commissioner Kamran Khan pronounced continued public welfare initiatives of the administration while declaring his intent to introduce similar plans in future to reduce citizens’ hardships. SHO Naveed-ul-Hassan explained that law enforcement provided both safe traffic conditions and enhanced security protocols which prevented dangerous occurrences.
As part of Operation Market Discipline officials asked residents to comply with laws during shopping sessions to make shopping conditions more pleasant for all consumers.
The organized management of market discipline during the last days of Ramadan received widespread appreciation from residents who wished to see these security measures remain in effect.
