RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): A massive fire has destroyed the Govt Secondary High School Sangola, turning the building and everything inside it into ashes.

The blaze wiped out all the school’s furniture, official records, computers, library books, science lab equipment, wooden fixtures, and other belongings.

At this point, the cause of the fire remains a mystery. Officials have not yet confirmed how it started. However, representatives from the District Education Office Poonch are expected to visit the site today to assess the situation. Only after their initial inquiry will more details about what triggered the fire likely come to light.

A symbol of community survival exists within the Government Secondary High School Sangola. Before this destruction the structure experienced destruction following an earthquake in Azad Jammu and Kashmirs (AJK).

The people in the community banded together with whatever resources they had to construct an entirely new school facility without depending on outside assistance.

The people who spent countless efforts on its reconstruction now experience profound sadness after another collapse of the building.

The residents experience the Government Secondary High School Sangola destruction as a personal setback because they poured their efforts into rebuilding this educational institution from absolute destruction.

As officials prepare to launch their investigation, people in the community are hoping for answers and quickly. Many are also calling for immediate plans to rebuild the school once again, so students can return to their classrooms without a long delay.

This tragic incident has raised questions about safety precautions in community-funded schools, especially those rebuilt without government aid.

Locals are urging authorities to step in not only to determine the cause of the fire but to support the school’s reconstruction and help ensure something like this doesn’t happen again.

For now, all eyes are on the Government Secondary High School Sangola, a place that has already risen once from disaster and may now need to do so again.
