ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Islamabad district administration on Tuesday announced a local public holiday in the federal capital on August 13.
All government offices, educational institutions, and some private organizations will be closed on the day, as per the official notification released by the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad.

With this announcement, the residents of the federal capital will benefit from two consecutive holidays, including on Thursday, August 14, 2025, on the occasion of Independence Day.
Preparations are underway across Pakistan to mark the 79th Independence Day on August 14 and celebrate the country’s victory in Marka-e-Haq with national zeal.
