MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Army Chief General Asim Munir’s recent remarks, calling Kashmir Pakistan’s “jugular vein,” have brought a wave of new hope and emotion across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Occupied Kashmir, and the entire country. His words have lifted the spirits of the Kashmiri people and strengthened their bond with Pakistan.
People from different areas showed strong support for General Asim Munir’s clear and courageous statement. Their responses reflected true patriotism and deep respect for the Pakistan Army.
Yesterday, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir addressed the Overseas Pakistanis Convention with a passionate and powerful speech, declaring that “Kashmir was, is, and will always remain Pakistan’s jugular vein.”
A resident shared, “The Army Chief’s words have encouraged us. We, the Kashmiris, proudly call ourselves Pakistanis. Our love for Pakistan and its army comes straight from the heart.” We stand with Pakistan like a solid wall. Pakistan is our pride, and we live by Syed Ali Geelani’s words: ‘We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours.’”
Another resident said, “I fully support the Army Chief’s words. The entire Pakistani nation stands with Kashmir. Our founding leader said Kashmir is our lifeline. Long live the Pakistan Army, long live Pakistan.”
Many people expressed pride in General Asim Munir’s statement, saying, “We are proud of what the Army Chief said. His message made us feel proud. We stand with our army. We urge our Chief to help solve the Kashmir issue as soon as possible.”
People added that Pakistan is part of their faith. “We are united under one belief and one flag. The day is not far when our enemy will be defeated. We salute the Pakistan Army, which protects our borders and sacrifices lives for every inch of the land.”
A Kashmiri woman shared her feelings, saying, “The Army Chief’s statement that ‘Kashmir is Pakistan’s lifeline’ has lifted the spirits of not just people in Azad Kashmir, but also those in Occupied Kashmir. On behalf of all Kashmiris, I thank the Pakistan Army for standing with us.”
Yesterday, the hall echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan ka matlab kya?” as overseas Pakistanis responded with great enthusiasm to General Asim Munir’s words.
General Munir praised the role of overseas Pakistanis during the Overseas Pakistanis Convention wholeheartedly, calling them not only ambassadors of the country but also “the light of Pakistan that shines across the world.”
General Asim Munir spoke strongly on various national and international matters, including terrorism in Balochistan, the misuse of social media, the situation in Gaza, and the long-standing Kashmir issue.
The Army Chief’s words have won the hearts of Kashmiris and sent a message of unity and strength to the entire nation. Kashmiri people once again expressed their unshakable bond with Pakistan, making it clear to the world that Kashmir is, and will always be, the heart of Pakistan.
