BAGH (Kashmir English): The Azad government’s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, has called for relief and rehabilitation of flood victims immediately.
According to him, rehabilitation of flood victims is one of the priorities of the government, and all the resources should be made available in this respect.
The meeting was chaired by Mayor Corporation Sardar Abdul Qayyum Baig and was also attended by Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman, DIG Poonch Sardar Zaheer, Deputy Commissioner Raja Sadaqat, SP Chaudhry Amin, and other district officials and local government members.
The minister and other speakers in the meeting underscored the importance of unity and cooperation to resolve the floods’ challenges. They also emphasized it was crucial to uphold peace and stability in the state and bring to an end those involved in spreading chaos and anti-state agendas.
The conference talked about issues such as erosion of the rivers and canals, relocation of people to secure locations, removal of encroachments, and traffic planning. The participants also made recommendations and posed questions to the divisional administration.
The government officials who were present at the meeting assured the participants that all the resources available are being used for the rehabilitation of flood victims and that all efforts possible are being made to provide relief to the victims.
