ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has formally released the finalized income tax return forms for the 2025 fiscal year, putting to rest the weeks-long doubt among taxpayers.
With SRO 1561(I)/2025 and SRO 1562(I)/2025, the Board has rolled out easy e-return forms for individuals, salaried persons, Associations of Persons (AOPs), companies, and professionals. The action is designed to simplify and clarify the filing process for filers nationwide.
The completed forms arrive 40 days following the FBR releasing draft versions on July 7, 2025.
There was controversy, though, when the IRIS portal for submitting returns was opened immediately following the release of drafts, with many questions remaining about whether returns submitted during this “draft period” would be accepted or would need to be resubmitted on the new forms.
